‘The Inn Way…to Black Sheep Pubs’ by Mark Reid, published by InnWay Publications (ISBN 978-1-902001-10-4, paperback, 184pp, RRP £7:95). This guidebook was first published in 1999 and has been reprinted seven times, with a revised Second Edition in Dec 2004. Last re-print was in July 2008.

to Black Sheep Pubs charts twenty five walks of varying throughout the Yorkshire Dales, as follows:
- Four walks in Swaledale and Arkengarthdale ranging from 6 to 10 _ miles, including walks around Reeth, Langthwaite, Marrick, Healaugh, Keld and Tan Hill (Britains highest pub).
- Nine walks in Wensleydale and Coverdale ranging from 5 _ miles to 11 miles, including walks around Aysgarth, West Burton, Jervaulx Abbey, Leyburn, Castle Bolton, Askrigg, Bainbridge, Hawes, Middleham and Masham.
- Two walks in Nidderdale ranging from 6 miles to 10 miles, including Ramsgill, Middlesmoor and Brimham Rocks.
- Five walks in Wharfedale ranging from 5 miles to 10 miles, including walks around Hubberholme, Cray, Kettlewell, Starbotton, Grassington, Kilnsey, Hebden, Appletreewick and Linton.
- Five walks around Airedale and Ribblesdale ranging from 8 miles to 14 miles, including Giggleswick, Malham, Clapham, Feizor, Ingleborough and Ribblehead.

Each walk features at least one pub along the way, with some walks featuring as many as six! In total, if you were to walk all of the routes then you would pass (or go into) 84 pubs that sell Black Sheeps ales! These walks are designed to incorporate the finest scenery, most interesting routes and the best pubs.
