"We completed the Lake District Inn Way walk in mid September. We would like to thank you for a very well planned walk with easy to follow routes.  We took nine days, splitting the first and last stages to allow for travelling. Every day was thoroughly enjoyable with great views, pubs and ale. We enjoyed trying the different beers from the numerous local breweries. Favourites included Thirst Fall from Keswick brewery, Jennings Sneck Lifter, Loweswater Grasmoor Dark, Coniston Old Man Ale and Yewbarrow Stout from Great Gable Brewery. We had really good weather and took several photos. There are many more on our website.
We are already planning to do the Dales Inn Way next year!

"Just a note to let you know we have just completed your Inn Way Lakes District. Excellent. We had a week of very hot and sunny and then rain like you could only get in the Lakes. The paths became streams and the streams  fast rivers - where you wrote cross the stream we couldn't see the stones to step on for the amount of water, a leap of faith was used to cross!! We met 3 guys doing the walk at they same time between the five of us we did all of it (we did the miles, they did the pubs!) so good fun catching up with each other for the highlights of the day! Highlights include a Naked Rambler, the climb up Coledale Hause, a cup of hot tea in the Black Sail YH while sheltering there, the friendliness of the other walkers and accommodation providers and of course the end finishing at Ambleside! Thanks again for another great walk (we did the Dales 2 years ago) looking forward to the Peak district for next year maybe."

Just returned from our Lakes trip for our silver wedding. We were there from 17th to 27th June and can you believe we never wore our waterproofs once! The weather was fantastic and the walk was brilliant. We love the way you describe the route and give all the history of the places we  have visited. Stayed in some superb places and spent 3 days at the end at the Brittania at Elterwater as this is my husband's favourite Lakes inn & it was his 50th birthday. We had some relatives join us for the weekend which was the perfect end to a perfect week. You may have a run on your book hopefully as we told quite a few people what we were doing and many seemed really interested.I've sent you a couple of piccies - one of us at the top of Swirl How (we did get the view) and one of someone trying to baa our way!!

I thought you might be interested in the photo I took last week whilst doing the Inn Way in the Lake District with my friend, which we managed to complete on Monday 20th September. We had to take our boots and socks off to cross Galloper Pool nr Broughton, the water was approx 12ins deep before the bridge. I wish now I had taken a photo with my friend stood in it, to show how deep it was. The other photo shows how deep the water was at Burnmoor Tarn. The small footbridge that you cross at Grassguards Gill which leads to a small gate and ladder stile near Grassguards Farm was submerged under the water also. Some of the Gills were very difficult to get over and also a lot of the paths were awash with water, due to the excessive amount of rain, but nevertheless the whole walk was excellent. We have now done three of the walks and are now looking forward to the Northumberland one.We have been trying to promote your walks as much as possible, but find that most of the people that we meet along the routes haven't heard of them, but we make sure they know, before leaving them. The accommodation at Braithwaite Farm was excellent and also Middlesyke at Broughton; all the others were OK but these two were worth a mention

Over half term, five of us did The Inn Way to the Lake district. It was the most fantastic walk we have ever done. We only queried the book once which over 90 miles is pretty good. The scenery was stunning and we had the most marvellous week. Our only fear is that we have done the best walk first. Any comments? Congratulations though on putting together such a fantastic walk which took on so many different parts of this wonderful area.

"We enjoyed our Inn Way in the Lake District at Easter. There's certainly plenty of climbing in it but very rewarding indeed. We couldn't stay at Borrowdale YHA because it was being renovated so we went on a bit further to Honnister YHA through Jennys Wood and stayed there instead. There was certainly some good pubs where we were glad of drinks en route because of the hot weather, especially that one at Stonethwaite, The Langstrath Inn, it sold ice cream as well, so it was most welcome. The Woolpack at Eskdale was particularly good a few yards down on the same side as the Youth Hostel. We had some good beers in there. We stayed at the High Cross Inn at Broughton-in-Furness and there was a band on that night in there so it finished it off nicely. We got to bed at some ungodly hour but that didn't matter. The YHA at Coniston Coppermines was superb. What a menu for an isolated hostel, we walked into the town at night after our meal and had a few drinks in the pubs there. Thanks once again for a great walk. Superb."
