Where does the route go?
The Inn Way
to the North York Moors starts and finishes at Helmsley, a delightful old market town in the south west corner of the North York Moors National Park. The walk then takes in Kirkdale, Farndale, Newton Dale, Levisham Moor, Esk Dale, Great Fryup Dale, Glaisdale High Moor, Rosedale, Blakey Ridge, Rudland Rigg, Bransdale, Bilsdale, Ryedale and the Hambleton Hills. The most southerly point is Harome (near Helmsley), easterly point is Yewtree Scar (Newton Dale), northerly point is Lealholm (Esk Dale) and westerly point is High Paradise Farm (Hambleton Hills).

The Inn Way
to the North York Moors is a long distance circular walk, divided into six day stages ranging from 13 to 16 miles.
Where are the Overnight Stops?
Helmsley (start/finish), Hutton-le-Hole, Levisham, Egton Bridge, Rosedale Abbey and Hawnby.
How many pubs will I pass (or go into!) along the way?
There are 31 pubs along The Inn Way. Each day stage is designed to include a pub at lunchtime and the Overnight Stops offer a choice of pubs and facilities. There are purple and green circular Inn Way Pub Stickers in the windows of each of the 31 inns along the route.
Signposts
This route has recently been signposted by the North York Moors National Park Authority in recognition to the walks contribution to sustainable tourism within the National Park. There are in the region of three signposts per Stage signposts can be found at each of the Overnight Stops, lunchtime stops and other key points along the way. The route is not waymarked you will need a guidebook to complete this walk.
