Wild Camping - out of the six overnight stops, there are official campsites at Hutton-le-Hole and Rosedale Abbey as well as a Youth Hostel at Helmsley. The landlord of the Horseshoe at Levisham will most probably let you camp in their back field if you ask (in advance), which just leaves Egton Bridge and Hawnby. As I'm sure you know, wild camping is not legal in the North York Moors and so the usual "rules" apply - arrive late, leave early, leave no trace, move on if asked etc. Most of the villages have stretches of fairly remote moorland nearby...
