We have just completed the Northumberland Inn Way and thoroughly enjoyed it. There was one exception. The footpaths are overgrown in many areas between Rothbury and Warkworth and Bamburgh and Wooler. This led to much fighting through dense nettles, thistles and brambles. One section of the Rothbury section was totataly impassable and we had to turn back and use a section of St Oswalds Way along the disused railway.

I have reported the key footpath problems (that have been reported to me) to Northumberland County Council, who have said they will look into them and clear if necessary. Thanks, Mark
