NEW BOOK
Yorkshire Water Way (Volume 2)
The Yorkshire Water Way is now complete, with Volume 1 & 2 combining to create a new long-distance walk from the Dales to the Peak District. Covering 103-miles, this new walk starts in the village of Kettlewell in the Yorkshire Dales and charts a 7-day walk through Nidderdale, Washburn Valley, South Pennines and Dark Peak to finish at Langsett. ÔYorkshire Water WayÕ (Vol 2) charts a 4-day 62-mile walk from Ilkley to Langsett via Haworth, Hebden Bridge and Marsden.

Open Access walk (map and compass skills) across the high moors around Old Ralph Cross. Finished at the Lion Inn at Blakey, 4th highest pub in the country!

Kettlewell, Old Cote Moor, Arncliffe - 16/12/07
Crisp, frosty and cold day with two brisk climbs over to Littondale and back across to Kettlewell. Pie and peas lunch at the Falcon at Arncliffe and a fireside drink at the end of the walk at the Kings Head, Kettlewell.
Ambleside, Wansfell Pike, Troutbeck, Robin Lane – 30/9/07
A wonderful autumnal day with warm sunshine and great visibility. The views from Wansfell Pike were superb with Windermere spread out far below and the high fells of the Coniston Old Man range, Crinkle Crags, Bowfell and the Langdale Pikes clearly visible. The beer garden at the Mortal Man half way round was also particularly pleasant!
